Abstract：Ten important agronomic characters of 1192 accessions of yardlong bean(Vigna unguiculata ssp. sesquipadalis)genetic resources were investigated. Very high level of variance existed among these varieties for all the characters studied,including pod length,pod weight,pod shape,pod color and seed coat color etc. . And some special accessions,for example,erect bush types,extremely early maturity,long pods over 70cm,single pod weight over 25 grams,and 100 seed weight over 19 grams,were detected.
