Abstract：A new method for screening cucumber cultivars for resistance to scab etiolated cotyledon spray inoculation was investigated. The procedure was as fellow:the sterilized cucumber seeds were added in Petri dishes with layers of gauze wetted by water. The etiolated cotyledons growed after 5 days in darkened condition at 20℃.
