Abstract：Self compatible index (number of seeds per pollinated flower) in Broccoli ( B. oleracea var. italica) decreased rapidly and became stable after 3rd generation. Plant height,branch number,bud size,stem pith and flower colour within line exhibited uniform after 3～4 generations. Days to head maturity were unstable even after 4th generation.
