Abstract：A cultivated eggplant variety Qiyeqie as scion was grafted on 5 wild Solanum species as rootstock respectively. The effects of graft on resistance to Verticillium dahliae and on biological characteristics of eggplant were studied. The results demonstrated that there was high affinity between every rootstock of 5 wild species and scion,all the survival rate of grafted plant was above 95%.
