Abstract：Xianghuanggua No.4 is a new F1 hybrid by erossing l ine L88-9 with T5-8. It grows vigorously with high resistant to downy mildew， virus and Fusarium wilt. It takes only 45-50 days from sowing to first harves ting. It yields 36 t·hm-2, 39% higher than that of‘Jiny an N o.7’. Average fruit weight is about 297g. Fruits are dark green，swe et and dcrispy with high marketable percentage. The fruit neck is about 3.6cm with is about 1/8 of fruit length.
