Abstract：Eggplant anthers were cultured under low temperature stress for induction of chilling tolerance using 6 varieties of eggplant as experimental materials. The results showed that chilling tolerant anther callus can be induced at 5-6℃,the differentiation frequency of chilling tolerant callus was 31.6% on MS+NAA (0.02mg·L -1 )+ZT (1.0mg·L -1 ) medium,the injury rate of regenerated plants from chilling tolerant callus was much lower than that of control varieties under low temperature stress.
