Abstract：Changhong No.2 is a new eggplant F1 hybrid with ear ly maturity. Its female parent - Hang-2-95-4 was selected from‘Hangz hou hongqie’,and male parent - E92-96-5 was selected from variety‘E92’ . Its plant grows vigorously,its fruit is long type with purple skin and good t aste. Changhong No.2 is suitable to grow in plastic house in winter and early s pring as well as highland in summer and open field in autumn. Its early and tota l yield reach 23.85t@hm-2 and 51.00t@hm-2 respecti vely.
