Abstract：The female parent 9704A of Xiangla No.2 is a male ster ility line bred from a sterile plant found in Niujiaojiao No.21. The male parent 8001 is a good inbred line selected from a landrace in Hunan. Xiangla No.2 is m iddle pungent F1 hybrid and is suitable for chilli-loved areas production wit h good fruit-setting and long harvest period.
