Abstract:Studies on carrot growth and nitrogen utilization with different nitrogen supply levels were conducted in the open field of Beijing suburb. The results showed that the marketable root yield, N uptake and the contents of soluble solids in root tissue increased with applied N rate increasing, however, N uptake did not increase with N applied rate when nitrogen applied rate was over 120 kg.hm-2 N.
