Abstract:The effects of silicon on the growth and active oxygen scavenging system of cucumber seedlings were studied in a solution culture system. The results showed that the application of 1.7 mmol · L-1 Si increased plant growth, chlorophyll content, AsA content,and the activities of SOD,POD and CAT,and decreased MDA content.
