Abstract：‘Zaoshu No.8’is a new Chinese cabbage F1 hybrid.It can also be used as pakchoi and Chinese cabbage.It is developed by crossing two selfincompatible lines 10383 with 116-3.It is early maturity and cultivated as Chinese cabbage.Its growth period is 55-60 days.The plant is 32 cm in height，55 cm in width.Its leaf head is 26 cm in height，18 cm in diameter.The head shape index is 1.4.Its average head weight is 1.0-1.5 kg.The net yield is 45-60 t·hm-2.Its net head rate is 70 %.Used as pakchoi，it grows fast and can be harvested in nearly 30 days.It has stronger resistance to downy mildew，virus and soft rot than‘Zaoshu No.5’.It has strong adaptability and good quality.It is suitable for cultivation in ZhejiangProvince and other regions with similar climate conditions.
