Abstract:The reaction of cucumber seedlings to low temperature stress was studied when it was treated by 2.0×10-3 g•mL-1 chill resistance agent under the temperature day/night(6±0.2)℃.The results showed that chill resistance agent could delay the decrease of chlorophyll content,and also maintain activities of anti-oxidative enzymes,such as SOD and CAT,in higher level,under the stress.The agent could weaken the accumulation of MDA,maintain the integrity of cell membrane.At the same time,the osmotic substance(soluble sugar and praline)contents in cucumber seedlings leaves were significant higher than the control group and the chilling tolerance of cucumber seedlings was increased.
