Studies on Infestation of Three Aphid Dominant Species on Kidney Bean in Northwest Plateau of Hebei Province

Abstract:A research was conducted to study the adaptive response of three aphid dominant species to kidney bean by host transplantation method both in field and laboratory at northwest plateau of Hebei Province.The results showed that Myzus persicae(Sulzer),Aphis gossypii Glover and Macrosiphoniella sanborni(Gillette)survived for only 6-8 days after being transplanted to flowers,tender tips,tender leaves etc.All of them could not establish population on kidney bean.All three aphid species survived for an obviously shorter time in tender pods than in tender tips.
