Abstract:Lab incubating and field experiments were conducted in order to study the influence of calcium soil amendment on soil properties of saline soil, yield and quality of tomato produced in greenhouse. The results showed that the dormant calcium soil amendment could change the ratio of exchangeable Ca2+ and Na+,decrease exchangeable Na+,pH,EC and total salt contents. The optimized applying rate was 1.50 mg·kg-1.Results from field experiment showed that increasing application of calcium soil amendment could notably improve the yield and quality of tomato produced in greenhouse.Compared with the control treatment, the yield of tomato was increased by 18.7 % and the soluble solid content increased by 20.2 %,titratable acid reduced by 23.1 % and exchangeable calcium content was increased by 34.0 %.The soil physic-chemical characteristics in greenhouse is evidently improved.
