Abstract：The correlation and path analysis on 14 agronomic traits of watermelon were studied.The results of correlation analysis showed that the thickness of skin and lignifications degree of epicarps were significantly related to fruit cracking rate.The gradual regression analysis revealed that 10 traits have direct and indirect effects on fruit cracking.The determine coefficient is 1.000 and the rest path coefficient is 0.001 8.Because of the direct path coefficient reaches 0.796,the lignifications degree of epicarps plays an important role on fruit cracking.So it can be taken as a main selective trait for anti-cracking variety.
