Abstract:Different concentrations of p-hydroxybenzoic acid(p-HB)were tested for their effects on conidial germination and mycelial growth of cowpea Fusarium wilt fungus, and seedling disease rate after challenge inoculation in the experiment. The results indicated that p-HB at the concentration of 5.0 and 10.0 mmol·L-1 had very significant inhibition to mycelial growth,at 1.0-10.0 mmol·L-1 p-HB had inhibition to conidial germination.10.0 mmol·L-1 p-HB could significantly reduce the seedling disease rate after challenge inoculation with Fusarium wilt fungus.
