A New Tomato F1 Hybrid with Multiple Disease Resistances —‘Hangza 400’

Abstract:‘Hangza 400’is a new middle early maturity tomato F1 hybrid, developed by crossing T06-2 as female parent and 9905-2-1-1-1-1 as male parent. It is a variety with indeterminate growth. Half of its plants have dense, long and white hairs, the other half are normal plants. Its first inflorescence is setting at 7-8 node. Its fruit is red without shoulder. Its single fruit weight is 207.6 g. The fruit hardness is 1.05 kg·cm-2. It is good for storage and transportation. It has excellent quality and good flavor. Its VC content is 387.0 mg·kg-1. The contents of soluble solid, total sugar and titratable acid are 7.68 %, 3.45 % and 0.425 %, respectively. It is tolerant high and low temperature and flood. It is highly resistant to TMV and leaf mould, resistant to CMV, middle resistant to bacterial wilt. The hairy plants have good effect of repelling aphids, Bemisia tabaci and American leaf miner. Its yield is about 82.5 t·hm-2 in fields under shed in spring. It is suitable to be cultivated in protected and open fields.
