摘要： 甜菜夜蛾幼虫有5龄，初孵时群集为害，3龄后分散为害，4～5龄进入暴食期。食性杂，主要为害蔬菜及豆类，对蔬菜不同种类，为害程度有差别，8～9月份气温较高，此虫盛发。采用32.8%赛敌和5%卡死克可取得较好的防治效果。

Abstract: The development of Spodoptera exigua (beta armyworm) larvae has to go through 5 instars. They keep together to damage hosts until 3rd instar，then disperse and the 4th and 5th instar larvae make the most damage. The occurring peak of S.exigua is in August and September，feeding on many kinds of plants but mainly on vegetables and bean. Spraying 32%“Decisdan” and“Cascade” can get efficient control of the pest.
