Abstract:The experiment was conducted in three types of saline soils to evaluate the tolerance to sulinity in potato varieties with high starch content. Varieties showed significant difference in growth and yield. The salinity susceptible varieties had poor emergence,retarded growth,low yield while salt tolerating varieties showed vigorous growth after emerging and high yield. The best performance varieties were Kexin 12,Ke 96HY 32 and Dianella.
