Abstract:Promotive effects of choline chloride (CC) on cotyledon growth and adventitious root emergence in hypocotyl cut from 7d seedlings of Cucumis sativus were observed under controlled conditions. CC greatly made etiolated cotyledons greening at 70μmol/ L, expanding in area and inreasing in fresh and dry weights at 50 ̄ 400mg/ L. It was also obvious that CC at 100μmol / L could stimulate adventitious root differentiation in down end of hypocotyls when the cotyledon-hypocotyl segment was used as exprimental system...
