Abstract：On the basis of reading the existing relative documents about pepper（Capsicum annuum L.）in vitro anther culture，this paper summarizes and comments a newly published article“Anther Culture in Pepper（Capsicum annuum L.）in vitro”on the Acta Physiol Plant in 2011 from the effects of several main factors on pepper anther culture，plant regeneration ploidy identification and plant chromosome doubling ect．The authors think this article has briefly introduced the present status of pepper in vitro anther culture abroad，and the existing problems，which is of certain reference value．
