A New Fruit Cucumber F1 Hybrid ——‘Lyujingling No.5’

Abstract：Lyujingling No.5’ is a new fruit cucumber F1 hybrid developed by crossing excellent DH line
09C38-5 as female parent and inbred line 08C10 as male parent. This variety is gynoecious. It grows with medium
vigor. It shows good adaptability to low temperature， weak light and high temperature. It is tolerant to downy
mildew， powdery mildew， resistant to brown batch， and highly resistant to Fusarium wilt. Its fruit is about 14-16
cm in length and 2.8 cm in width. Its peel is green in color. The fruit has no wart on its skin. Its contents of soluble
solid，VC，and soluble sugar are 4.19%， 117.9 mg·kg-1 and 17.98 mg·g-1， respectively. It is suitable for
protected field cultivation almost all over China．Its growing period lasts 7 months. It can yield about 100.5 t·hm-2
under long season cultivation．
