Abstract:Taking 12 different low temperature and poor light tolerance pepper varieties as experimental materials, placing them in solar-greenhouse under the stress of low temperature and poor light, this research studies the change regulation of their chloroplast pigments and the relations between these changes and low temperature and poor light tolerance of different pepper varieties. The results showed that the Chla,Chlb and ChlT contents in leaves of pepper treated under low temperature(15 ℃/5 ℃,day/night)and poor light stress(100 μmol?m-2?s-1 PFD)were decreased, but there were no significant correlations between these changes and low temperature and poor light tolerance of different pepper varieties. The Chla/b increased at the initiate stage of this treatment, and there were significant correlations between low temperature and poor light tolerance and the Chla/b on the 5th day.The Car contents and the Car/ChlT ratios reduced in leaves of 12 pepper varieties treated under low temperature and poor light stress. In leaves of pepper treated under low temperature and poor light stress, the lower the Car content, the smaller the Car/ChlT ratios, and the stronger tolerance to low temperature and poor light.
