Abstract：Tianjiao No.4 is a new early maturity pepper F 1 hybrid developed by crossing two inbred lines 123 and 49. It takes only 40 days from transplanting to the first harvesting. Its early yield is 22.5-37.5 t·hm -2 ; total yield is 42-60 t·hm -2 . The fruit is 26-33 cm in length, 3.0 cm in diameter, and 30-40 g in weight.
