Abstract：12 excellent new and old varieties were selected from 3609 tomato resources to be conducted comparative test.The results indicate that new tomato varieties are better than traditional excellent tomato varieties on its high uniformity,disease resistance,and good commodity character,while traditional excellent tomato varieties are better than new tomato varieties from nutrient content point of view.If adopting appropriate cultivation measures,it can improve the quality of tomato from its taste and flavor.
