Abstract Heifeng is a new cabbage F 1 hybrid developed by crossing self incompatible line 8110 from jiangsu local variety with self incompatible line 8405 from abroad materials. Its head is oblate shaped,very firm,with short stem,crisp and tender flavor of good quality. Average head weight is 1.0～2.0kg. It is good tolerance to high temperature,high resistance to TuMV,CMV and black rot,and suitable for cultivating in summer and autumn at the area of the Yangtse River.
