Abstract When sufficient manure and well composted stalks were applicated in lean to solar greenhouse,the CO 2 concentration remained at relatively higher level during early development stages of melon. The CO 2 concentration at 12:00 (noon before vetilation) still kept 1810mg·L -1 at transplant recovering stage,1370mg·L -1 at pollination stage and 1200mg·L -1 at fruit setting stage.
