Abstract Yongtian No.2 is a new muskmelon F_1 hybrid developed by crossing inbred lines 98-5-2-1-7-4-8-1-9 and 98-1-3-4-7-6-2-7-5. The plant grows vigorously with sturdy main vines. Shape of fruit is round ball. The net is clear and even with grayish-green color and mid thick nets. The fruit is 2.0 kg in average weight, yellow-green in flesh color, with 15 %-17 % sugar content and gentle sweet. It is a special variety for protected cultivation.
