Abstract Xinjianjiao No.1 is a new early maturing hot pepper F_1 hybrid developed by crossing self-line 9074-6-4 selected from local hot pepper variety Dajintiao in Sichuan with self-line Jingjianjiao-8 selected from Heilongjiang. The fruit is horn shaped with length of 19 cm,shoulder diameter of 2.7 cm. The yield is 45-60 t·hm~-2.It is resistant to virus and Phytophthora blight,mid-resistant to anthracnose.
