Abstract Jinyuan No.2 is a new summer squash F_1 hybrid bred by crossing inbred line A132-8-5 as female parent and inbred line J246-6-4 as male parent. It has early maturity, dwarf plant, grows vigorously. The first female flower starts from node 6-7. It has long cylindrical fruit with fruit index 3.2 and light green skin. The total yield is 45.0-52.5 t·hm~-2 under protected cultivation.
