Abstract Guanhua No.4 is an early maturing chieh-qua F_1 hybrid developed by crossing 01-2-4-2-3 as female parent and E_3-8-2-6-1-2-1 as male parent. It takes 65-80 days from sowing to harvest in spring, and 45-50 days in autumn. Its early yield is 14.1-20.6 t·hm~-2;total yields is 37.5-60.0 t·hm~-2.
