Abstract Wuzihuangyu is a new yellow-flesh seedless mini-watermelon F_1 hybrid by crossing M863 with T948. The female parent M863 is a tetraploid by colchicine redoubling and T948 is a diploid and inbred line. It has early maturity and the fruit developing period is about 28-30 days. The whole growth period is 85-90 days. Plants grows vigorously and have a good fruit setting. Average fruit is 2.0-2.5 kg in weight with round shape and average yield is 45 t·hm~-2 in open field, 52.5 t·hm~-2 in protected field. The yel...
