Abstract Jianxuan No.17 is a new seed lotus variety developed by multiple crossing(Honghuajianlian×Cunsanlian No.65)×Taikonglian No.2. The stem is strong. The seed pods is 11-16 cm in diameter. The seed setting percentage is about 72 %-85 %. The seed is ovate, white and good taste. The average dry weight of a hundred seeds is about 103 g, yield of the dry seed is about 0.1 kg·m~-2. It has stronger resistance to lotus rot and lotus leaf spot than Honghuajianlian.
