Abstract By successfully isolating endophytic bacteria from roots of healthy tomato, 18 strains could inhibit the growth of Ralstonia solanacearum on plate culture. Greenhouse tests indicated that the diseae-control efficiency of the strains named as 01-144 and 01-182 were up to 48.6% and 42.8% respectively. By bacterial identification, the two strains all belonged to Bacillus spp.
