Abstract A regression equation of cucumber yield related to N f ertilizer，plant density was set up by using the D-saturated optimatation desig n method. The optimum combination to get yield 67.5t·hm~(-2) by comp uter simulating is N 390.9～627.9kg·hm~(-2) density of 50925 ～57915 plants per hectare.
