Abstract The effect of plastic house and plastic film mulch on ginger’s growth and yield was studied. The result indicated that the ginger plants cultivated in plastic house broke the earth earlier than the control,had larger growth quantities,higher rate of leaf strentching,higher and stronger shoots and more branches,also gave more accumulation of dry matter and higher yield. The ginger mulched with plastic film in plastic house grew best and had the highest yield amoung the three treatments.
