Abstract ‘Guanchun No. 3’ is a new bitter gourd F1 hybrid developed by crossing 327 as female parent and 63 as male parent. The plant has strong growth vigor. It is of early maturity. Both of its main and side vines can bear fruit. The first female flower sets on the 8-10 th node of its main vine. Its fruit is of long clavate shape, and is 28-35 cm in length,5-7 cm in diameter,1.0-1.2 cm in flesh thickness. The single fruit weight is 450-600 g. Its yield is 45.0-52.5 t·hm-2.
Its resistance to powdery mildew,phytophthora blight and Fusarium wilt is stronger than the contrasts‘ Lanshanchangbai’and‘ Chunqiuwang’. It is suitable to be cultivated in Sichuan,Hunan,Jiangxi Provinces.
