Abstract:With the Solamum torvum seeds as experimental materials, the experiment showed the mechanisms which could significantly promote the seeds germination. The main results were as follows. With the HPD(Hydration-pre-germinating-dehydration), the electrical conductivity of the lixivium from the Solanum torvum seeds was decreased, the MDA content of lipid per-oxidation was reduced. The starch content of the treated seeds was reduced, the contents of soluble sugars and crude fat were increased, but the soluble proteins were not changed compared to the control. The HPD could significantly increase the SOD and CAT activity of the seeds.
