Abstract：In order to study on the inheritance of glossy wax-less characteristic，F1，F2，BC1P1 and BC1P2 populations were obtained through crossing，selfing and back-crossing by cabbage（Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata L.）material 10Q-961（glossy wax-less appearance）and 10Q-206（normal wax appearance）．The results of χ2 test on the separated proportion preliminarily proved that the trait of glossy wax-less was controlled by one pair of recessive gene.
