Abstract：‘Haifeng 1052’ is a new pepper F1 hybrid with early maturity developed by crossing double haploid line 08-123 as female parent with inbred line F07-253-2-1 as male parent. The first flower sets at 7-8 th node. Its fruit has smooth surface and slightly wrinkled shoulder. The fruit is 31.2 cm in length，1.5 cm in width，and 32.6 g in weight．The fruit has strong spicy flavor and light green peel. The matured fruit has bright red peel. The contents
of VC，soluble sugar，protein and capsaicin are 672 mg·kg-1，1.7 g·kg-1，14.0 g·kg-1 and 0.25 g·kg-1，respectively. It is resistant to TMV and CMV，and mid-resistant to Phytophthora blight. Its average yield is about 45 t·hm-2．It is suitable to be cultivated in protected and open fields in northern China，and in open fields in Guangdong，Guangxi，Shanxi and Shaanxi Provinces，etc．
