Research Progress about Effects of Root Zone Temperature on Physiology and Ecology of Protected Horticulture Crops

Horticulture crops grown in protected facilities were more sensitive to root zone temperature than
to air temperature and changes in root zone temperature could cause drastic physiological and ecological changes
in crops. This paper systematically summarized the effects and function machenism of root zone temperature on
physiological ecology of root system and canopy of crops grown in protected facilities. The paper reviewed the
progress made in studying the method and technology for adjusting root zone temperature， the existing problems.
Before ending， it also prospected the future research direction.
