Abstract:‘Xingshuzhoula No.2’is a new wrinkling pepper F1 hybrid of medium early maturity,
developed by crossing inbred line‘SH1023-2’as female parent and inbred line‘W1F2-1-1-3-1-1’as male
parent.This variety has compact plant type and strong growth vigor.Its first flower sets on about the 10th
node.The fruit is of long cow-horn shape.The ripe fruit is green in color and the old ripe fruit is bright red
in color.The fruit is about 26 cm in length,about 3.2 cm in width,and about 0.25 cm in thickness.The
single fruit weight is about 46 g.The contents of dry matter,VC,capsaicin were 16.4%,1 616 mg · kg-1,
25 260 SHU,respectively.In fields,its resistance to anthracnose,virus diseases,epidemic disease and scab
diseases is similar to that of the contrast‘Xiangyan No.15’.Its yield in early stage is about 17.25 t · hm-2,
and the total yield is about 34.05 t · hm-2.It is suitable for cultivation in protected and open fields in Hunan,
Hubei,Anhui,Jiangxi,Henan,Jiangsu and Hainan Provinces.
