Abstract:In this study,‘Jingfan 402’ as the test material to study the effects of exogenous spraying
of methylglyoxal solution(0,5,10,20 mmol · L-1)on the growth,photosynthesis,and antioxidant
capacity of tomato seedlings under salt stress(150 mmol · L-1 NaCl).The results showed that NaCl treatment significantly inhibited the growth, osmotic regulation, and antioxidant capacity of tomato seedlings, while spraying with asuitable concentration of exogenous acetone aldehyde under NaCl stress improved the growth of tomato seedlings, reduced electrolyte leakage, decreased the content of malonaldehyde and Na+ in roots and leaves, and reduced the content of hydrogen peroxide in leaves.Combined with the experimental data, exogenous spraying of 20 mmol · L-1 acetone aldehyde had the best mitigation eff ect on tomato seedlings under salt stress, and could improve the salt tolerance of tomato seedlings.
