Abstract：Longzaqie No.5 is an early-maturing eggplant F_1 hybrid bred by crossing two inbred lines, female parent No.15 and male parent 98-5. The fruit is long clavate shape, dark purple, glossy and aging resistant, 25-30 cm in length, and 5-6 cm in diameter. The flesh is green-white, tender, good quality. Average fruit weight is 150-200 g. It yields 60 t·hm~-2. It has stronger resistance to verticillium wilt and brown rot than Longzaqie No.2, and tolerance to coldness and weak light.
