Abstract:The combining ability of early-yield and total-yield character of cucumber were analyzed by using six inbred lines of cucumber cultivated in open field. The results showed that the two characters were mainly controlled by additive genes and their inheritances fit in dominant-additive model mainly. The general combining ability(GCA)variance of early-yield occupied 91.92 % of the whole genotype variance.
