Abstract：Layou No.2 is a hot pepper F 1 hybrid developed by crossing excellent male sterile line 33A with restorative line 52. It is early maturity,resistant to phytophthora blight,southern bacterial and mosaic virus. The yield is 22.5-34.5t·hm -2 . Average fruit weight is 30-40g with smooth green skin and good quality. It has been extended to Guangzhou,Zhongshan, Zhaoqing and Guangxi etc.,with a total area of 280hm 2.
