Abstract：The experiment on treating balsam pear plant using different concentration of ethylene at diffe rent growth stage with different treating times was conducted. The results showed that spraying 120-180mg·L -1 of ethylene increased the leaf area and stem diameter,shortened the internodal length,increased significantly fruit and seed yield of balsam pear.
