Abstract：Layou No.4’ is a hot pepper F 1 hybrid developed by excellent inbred 33 crossing with inbred 30. It is early maturity,resistance to phytophthora blight,southern bacterial and mosaic virus. The yield is 24-42t·hm -2 . Average fruit weight is 35-50g. Fruits are long with smooth green skin,good quality and high marketable percentage. It has been extended to Guangdong,Guangxi,Jiangxi,Hainan and Hunan etc.,with a total area of 800hm 2.
