Abstract：A new spring cabbage F1 hybrid─ Chunbao , was bred by crossing two self-incompatible lines of 441591 and 87123. It has pointed head, early maturity, tolerance to bolting, high yield and good quality. It is 3～ 5 days earlier and 60% higher in yield than that of Niuxin (the popular cultivar).The average yield is 30～ 52.5t/ ha and has been grown in region of Yangtze River over 2000 ha.
