Abstract:The glucosinolate profile and accumulation of 64 Brassca campestris L. ssp. chinensis(L.)Makino var. communis Tsen et Lee DH lines grown in different seasons were analyzed with high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). Eight main glucosinolates(3 aliphatics, 4 indoles and 1 aromatic)were detected in all accessions. The aliphatic glucosinolates were the most dominant glucosinolates in pack choi with the highest ratio of above 80 %, and gluconapin(NAP)is about 50 %, in addition, 1 accession with low glucosinolate was detected. Coefficient variability index in each aliphatic glucosinolate was more than 100 %. Correlations analysis between individual glucosinolates showed that the correlation of aliphatic, aromatic and total glucosinolate was all significant or very significant respectively between the 2 seasons. Variance analysis on glucosinolate accumulation showed that there were very significant differences among genotypes in aliphatic, aromatic and total glucosinolate among genotypes in the 2 seasons. Combined variance analysis indicated that there were no significant differences among genotypes in indole glucosinolates, and season×variety interaction was identified in many glucosinolate.
